About me and this project

Published

XRP Breadcrumbs is an evidence-first reference on XRP, Ripple and the XRP Ledger, including the risks, critiques and competing networks. Each page answers one question from primary sources such as regulators, court records, filings and the ledger, and labels every claim Confirmed, Company-reported, In development or Analysis. Pages are checked against their cited sources before publishing, corrections are logged publicly, the author's XRP holding is disclosed, and the site carries no ads or affiliate links.

The story

I’m Scott. Like a lot of people, I first met XRP in my feed: TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube. Most of it was hype. The critiques weren’t much better; they had holes of their own. So I started asking my own questions, and then friends and family started asking me theirs.

The more I dug, the more layers turned up: payments, banking, prime brokerage, stablecoins, tokenization, derivatives, custody, lending, collateral, treasury and regulation. I decided to document the breadcrumbs as I found them, with the sources attached, instead of telling anyone what to conclude.

Where I stand

I’m not neutral about XRP. As of September 2026, I personally hold 1,000 XRP. I hold it because, from my own review of the information I’ve been able to find, I think it’s a serious opportunity. That’s exactly why every claim on this site has to stand on evidence, not on what I hope is true.

Donations to this site arrive in XRP, so they add to my exposure to XRP. They go to a separate wallet and aren’t counted in the figure above.

What this site is and isn’t

It’s education and evidence: one question per page, the answer first, the sources underneath, and a label on every claim. It isn’t advice, a trading signal, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. It isn’t affiliated with Ripple, the XRPL Foundation, or any exchange or issuer. I'm not a financial adviser, lawyer or accountant.

How the site is funded

It’s free, with no ads, paywall or affiliate links. It runs on voluntary gifts; the Donate page shows what they pay for.

How the work gets done

Every fact starts from a source I can link: a filing, a regulator, official documentation, the ledger itself, or, labelled as such, a company’s own statement. Claims are labelled Confirmed, Company-reported, In development or Analysis, and every number carries the date it was true. The Method page explains the whole process, including how company claims are handled and what happens when I get something wrong.

How AI is used

AI tools help me research and draft. Before a page can publish, a separate AI fact-checker ties every sentence to a saved source, and an AI model from a different company checks each claim against that source text and blocks the page if anything doesn’t hold up. A further check re-opens the live sources for a random sample of pages. I set the direction and the standards; the checking is automated so it’s applied to every page, not just the ones a person has time to read.

Corrections

If you find an error, email [email protected] with the page and what’s wrong. Corrections are dated on the page they fix and listed on the Corrections page.
