Got a lead? Send it in to be checked

Seen a post, a video, a headline or a rumour about XRP, Ripple or the XRP Ledger? Send the link. It doesn't matter where you found it. Some of the best leads start on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or X, and so do a lot of the worst. That's why nothing you send goes on the site as it is.

What happens to your lead

  1. It joins the daily queue. Once a day the research run picks up every new lead.
  2. The claims are pulled out. Every factual claim, number and date in the post or video is listed, along with who said it.
  3. Each claim is checked against primary sources: regulators, court records, company filings, official documentation and the XRP Ledger itself. A claim needs a source before it can go anywhere.
  4. It lands where the evidence puts it:
    • confirmed news goes on the Timeline and updates the pages it affects;
    • a new question that holds up gets its own page;
    • a popular claim that doesn't hold up, or only partly, becomes a Hype Check card with the evidence;
    • anything no source can confirm goes on Claims we could not verify, with what was searched.

Every step follows the same checks as the rest of the site. The Method page explains them.
