Permissioned domains
Plain definition. A permissioned domain is a controlled environment on the XRP Ledger that features like permissioned trading can use to limit who gets access.
Technical definition. Permissioned domains are controlled environments within the XRP Ledger whose only configurable rule is a set of accepted credentials: a list of 1 to 10 credentials, each described by its issuer and credential type. Any account holding at least one matching credential automatically gains access, and a transaction needing a domain-restricted resource checks for an accepted, unexpired matching credential and fails if there is none. Anyone can define a domain and becomes its owner, able to update its settings or delete it, and each domain counts as one item toward the owner’s reserve requirement.
