XRP treasury company
Plain definition. An XRP treasury company is a publicly listed company that raises money to buy and hold XRP, as VivoPower described itself in an SEC filing.
Technical definition. In its May 28, 2025 announcement, VivoPower described its change into an “XRP-focused digital asset treasury company.” It said it would use most of the funds raised to accumulate XRP and set up XRP-focused treasury operations, and to contribute and invest in the XRPL DeFi ecosystem. The company said its new direction centers on the acquisition, management and long-term holding of XRP as part of a diversified digital treasury strategy.
