Short answer
This site gives no buy, sell or hold advice. XRP’s market value is its price times its supply. With about 32 billion of the fixed 100 billion XRP in escrow (Finbold, September 2026), $10 implies $680 billion to $1 trillion and $100 implies $6.8 to $10 trillion. A low per-coin price does not make XRP cheap.

This page does arithmetic on published figures. It does not say whether any price will happen.
How does a price per XRP turn into a market value?
Market value is price multiplied by the number of units counted. XRP has a fixed maximum supply of 100 billion, and roughly one-third of it sits in escrow, according to Finbold in September 2026 [1]. Finbold reports that re-escrow transactions brought the escrow balance back to around 32 billion XRP after the latest monthly 1 billion XRP release [1].
On 13 March 2026 CoinDesk put XRP at $1.37 [2] with an $84 billion market value [2]. Dividing one by the other gives about 61.3 billion XRP counted. CoinDesk’s 12 May 2026 figures give a similar result: ETF net assets of $1.18 billion equal to about 1.3% of XRP’s market cap [3], with XRP at $1.47 [3]. That implies about 61.7 billion XRP.
The count also grows. Finbold reports that potentially circulating XRP has generally risen by 200 million to 300 million a month [1]. The page on how many XRP exist and whether Ripple can create more covers which supply figure fits which question, and the page on how the XRP escrow works covers the monthly releases.
What market value would $3, $5, $10 or $100 imply?
Analysis. Each price below is multiplied by three supply bases: about 61.3 billion (implied by CoinDesk, March 2026 [2]), about 68 billion (100 billion minus the roughly 32 billion in escrow reported by Finbold [1]) and the full 100 billion [1].
| Price per XRP | ~61.3B XRP | ~68B XRP | 100B XRP |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1.54 (26 Sep 2026 [4]) | ~$94B | ~$105B | $154B |
| $3 | ~$184B | ~$204B | $300B |
| $5 | ~$307B | ~$340B | $500B |
| $10 | ~$613B | ~$680B | $1T |
| $12.60 | ~$772B | ~$857B | $1.26T |
| $100 | ~$6.1T | ~$6.8T | $10T |
| $500 | ~$31T | ~$34T | $50T |
| $1,000 | ~$61T | ~$68T | $100T |
| $10,000 | ~$613T | ~$680T | $1,000T |
$10 is about 2.7 times the all-time high near $3.65 that CoinDesk dates to July 2025 [3], and about 6.5 times the $1.54 that 24/7 Wall St. reported on 26 September 2026 [4]. The table shows that no price is ruled out by arithmetic. It shows the total value a price would require someone to justify.
Is XRP cheap because one coin costs little?
No. A per-coin price reflects how many units the asset is divided into. XRP’s price of $1.37 in March 2026 still gave it an $84 billion market value, and CoinDesk described it as ranked fifth by market cap [2]. In May 2026 CoinDesk called it the fourth-largest token by market capitalization [3]. Whether that value is justified is a separate question, taken up on the page about XRP’s valuation versus activity on the XRP Ledger. CoinDesk reported XRPL’s total value locked at $47.54 million on 13 March 2026 [2], and argued that the market cap is still overwhelmingly driven by speculative positioning and ETF expectations [2].
How would such a valuation compare with the largest companies and assets?
No dated market values for the largest listed companies, gold or bitcoin are cited here, so a direct ranking is not possible. 24/7 Wall St. (May 28, 2026) described Deutsche Bank as Germany’s largest lender with roughly $1.6 trillion in total assets, a balance-sheet figure rather than a market value. Using the fixed maximum supply of 100 billion XRP reported by Finbold, a price of $100 per XRP would imply a market value of about $10 trillion if the full maximum supply were counted; this is an arithmetic illustration, not a forecast.
The second point is fund money. US spot bitcoin ETFs held $55.16 billion in cumulative net inflows as of 18 September 2026, 32 times the XRP ETF total, according to 24/7 Wall St. [6]. Moving from $1.54 to $10 on the March-implied supply means about $520 billion more market value, close to ten times all the money that had entered US bitcoin ETFs by that date.
How much new money would have to enter for the market cap to rise by a given amount?
No public source measures this ratio for XRP. The published figures show only that money put in and market value are different quantities. On 25 September 2026 US spot XRP ETFs had taken in $1.79 billion in cumulative inflows against $1.77 billion of net assets, according to 24/7 Wall St. [4]. The same report put the funds’ XRP at about $20 million less than the cash investors had put in [4].
Price and fund flows also moved apart. On 21 September 2026 XRP opened at $1.41 and closed at $1.54 on a day of zero ETF flow, then fell nearly 6% over two days of inflows [4]. 24/7 Wall St. noted that much of XRP trading occurs in exchange order books [4]. Between 17 and 31 August 2026 XRP rose from roughly $0.99 to $1.38, CoinDesk reported citing CoinGlass [5]. The ETFs took in $153 million over all of August, according to 24/7 Wall St. [6]. On the March-implied supply, that price move added roughly $24 billion of implied market value. The two numbers come from different channels and periods, so they are not a ratio of money in to value created. They show that market value is set by the last traded price across all units, not by summing the money invested.
How many XRP would $1 million take at a given price?
The “millionaire” question is the same arithmetic run backwards. Holding $1 million of XRP takes $1,000,000 divided by the price: about 649,000 XRP at the $1.54 of 26 September 2026 [4], 100,000 XRP at $10 and 10,000 XRP at $100. Each of those lower counts only reaches $1 million if XRP’s total market value reaches the figure in the table above.
What is the case that large valuations are reachable?
The strongest published arguments rest on new kinds of demand. ICO Bench’s May 2026 bull-case scenario has major banks approving XRP as collateral, creating a demand floor from institutional financing activity [8]; it presents this as a bull-case scenario, not as an outcome. CoinDesk wrote on 13 March 2026 that tokenized real-world assets are the one area where the data genuinely supports the bull case, citing $461 million in distributed asset value and $1.5 billion in represented asset value on XRPL [2].
Against that, CoinDesk argued in the same piece that a payment using XRP for three seconds does not generate the buy pressure of long-term holding [2]. Whether payment use alone could carry these prices is tested on the page about what bank payment use would imply per XRP. How published targets are built is covered in what analysts’ XRP price forecasts assume. The opposite question, whether today’s $94 billion to $154 billion already counts on future growth, is taken up in whether future adoption is already priced into XRP.
What we know
- September 2026: Finbold reported that roughly one-third of XRP’s fixed maximum supply of 100 billion tokens remains locked under the escrow system, and that re-escrow transactions brought the escrow balance back to around 32 billion XRP after the most recent monthly 1 billion XRP release.
- September 2026: Finbold reports that the increase in potentially circulating XRP has generally averaged 200 million to 300 million a month, not the full 1 billion released from escrow each month.
- 13 March 2026: CoinDesk put XRP at $1.37 with an $84 billion market value, 62% below its high, and described XRP as ranked fifth by market cap.
- 12 May 2026: CoinDesk described XRP as the fourth-largest token by market capitalization, trading at $1.47, and reported US spot XRP ETF net assets of $1.18 billion, about 1.3% of XRP’s market cap. It put XRP’s all-time high near $3.65 in July 2025.
- 26 September 2026: XRP traded at around $1.54 (24/7 Wall St.).
- 25 September 2026: US spot XRP ETFs had $1.79 billion of cumulative inflows and $1.77 billion of net assets, about $20 million less than the cash investors put in (24/7 Wall St.).
- 17 to 31 August 2026: XRP rose from roughly $0.99 to $1.38 (CoinDesk citing CoinGlass); US spot XRP ETFs took in $153 million over August (24/7 Wall St.).
- 18 September 2026: US spot bitcoin ETFs held $55.16 billion in cumulative net inflows, 32 times the XRP ETF total (24/7 Wall St.).
- Fortune reported on September 30, 2026 that gold was priced at $4,213 per ounce as of 8:55 a.m. Eastern Time, and Yahoo Finance price history shows bitcoin closing at about $83,554 that day. No dated market values for the largest companies are given here, and gold and bitcoin are quoted per ounce and per coin rather than as total market value, so as of September 30, 2026 this page still cannot place a $1 trillion or $10 trillion XRP valuation against them.
- Ripple’s XRP page, with figures as of June 30, 2026, says Ripple held 37,656,053,914 XRP, had distributed 62,329,587,596 XRP, and had placed 32,600,000,000 XRP in escrow. What is still not public is how much of the distributed XRP sits with other holders as opposed to Ripple’s own wallets, and no public source gives that split as of September 30, 2026.
What we reason Analysis
- Finbold reports that roughly one-third of XRP’s fixed maximum supply of 100 billion tokens remains locked under the escrow system.
- Supply outside escrow: 100 billion minus the roughly 32 billion Finbold reports in escrow leaves about 68 billion. This follows from Finbold, September 2026.
- Market value table: each price multiplied by 61.3 billion, 68 billion and 100 billion XRP. At $10 that is about $613 billion, $680 billion and $1 trillion; at $100 about $6.1, $6.8 and $10 trillion. This follows from the supply figures above.
- $10 is about 2.7 times the July 2025 high near $3.65 (CoinDesk) and about 6.5 times the $1.54 price of 26 September 2026 (24/7 Wall St.). Derived by division.
- Money in and market value are different quantities: ETF investors put in $1.79 billion and held $1.77 billion of XRP on 25 September 2026, and the August 2026 price rise added roughly $24 billion of implied market value on the March supply while the ETFs took in $153 million that month. These two numbers are not a measured ratio. This follows from 24/7 Wall St. and CoinDesk figures.
- Holding $1 million of XRP at a given price requires $1,000,000 divided by that price: about 649,000 XRP at $1.54, 100,000 at $10, 10,000 at $100. Arithmetic only.
What's still open
- As of September 30, 2026, no market-data tracker figure for circulating supply with a date is cited here; the circulating figures on this page are implied from CoinDesk reports.
- As of September 30, 2026, no public source measures how much market value a dollar of net buying creates for XRP.
- As of October 1, 2026, it is not established how market-data trackers arrive at a circulating figure below 100 billion. Searched:
In plain English
An XRP price only means something once you multiply it by the number of XRP that exist. There are up to 100 billion XRP, so every extra dollar per coin adds tens of billions of dollars to the total value of all XRP. A price of $10 would put that total value between about $613 billion and $1 trillion, depending on which XRP are counted. A low price for one coin says nothing on its own about whether XRP is cheap.
