Technical definition. CME Group describes itself as the world’s leading derivatives marketplace. It offers futures and options on futures through its CME Globex platform, fixed income trading through BrokerTec and foreign exchange trading on the EBS platform, and it runs CME Clearing, a central counterparty clearing provider. On April 24, 2025, it announced XRP futures in a micro size (2,500 XRP) and a larger size (50,000 XRP), cash-settled against the CME CF XRP-Dollar Reference Rate and listed on and subject to the rules of CME.
